Looking for Highland Cattle?

Are you looking for Highland Cattle? Are they the right breed for you?
We get lots of messages from people looking for recommendations on where to purchase highland cattle. Keep in mind this breed of cattle isn’t suited for everyone, or for every climate. They don’t do well in hot humid areas, and they need lots of shade.

Keep in mind, you need 2 cows minimum…They are herd animals and need their own species as a companion. Dogs, Goats, Horses, Donkeys etc. will NOT suffice. They MUST be with other cows.

You need at least one acre per cow, so two acres minimum of pasture for these animals.

Highlands are excellent mothers. It is extremely cruel to take their calves away unnecessarily just to sell bottle babies. I will NOT sell them till they can be weaned.

If you are looking for “mini highlands”, they do not actually exist. It is false information being shared on social media… It’s a marketing scheme to sell stunted runts or cross bred animals as “miniatures”.
